A hospital where every patient is a houseplant

In Edinburgh a horticulturalist opened the Hilda Houseplant Hospital, where a drooping fern gets a patient history, a diagnosis, a drip and, if it comes to it, surgery.
Rosanna Costello of Edinburgh opened what she calls Britain's first houseplant hospital. You bring in the monstera that has seen better days; she takes a patient history, talks through the diagnosis, and the plant is admitted. Patients can be put on a drip, placed in quarantine away from the others, or taken into surgery for the serious cases. Then, if all goes well, discharged, upright, to a relieved owner.
It is crowned for the straight face: a whole hospital, with wards and charts and bedside manner, run entirely for the benefit of ferns.

Silly and absurd, never cruel. Never a private person's worst day, never a child, never a death or an injury; public figures only for what they chose to do in public. Nominate one.
